Handbag in black and white gallery with green ribbon accent

May 19, 2012 13:00

This purse is so stunning. It has a simple, modern style, yet it is bright, bold, and sophisticated. I love how the purse looks so elegant from afar, but a little quirky up close!

The purse has a beautiful print of gallery frames filled with a quirky assortment of childhood memories: bikes, squirrels, oak trees, deer, two kids with their dog. The images remind me of summers at the park, climbing trees, and catching butterflies ... pure bliss! The fabric is from a very talented independent fabric designer, Melisza.

I added a green ribbon to both sides that really "pops" against the black and white.

The inside of the bag is a coordinating green. I added a small inner pocket to the inside of the bag. There is a magnetic snap closure to keep all of your stuff secure. The handles are a beautiful, black wood.

The purse is the perfect size for carrying all your essentials while still looking cute.

Size: approx. 15" at its widest point, 12" at the opening, 7" tall (not including the handles), 10.5" tall (including the handles)
(approx. 38 cm at its widest point, 31 cm at the opening, 18 cm tall (not including the handles), 27 cm tall (including the handles))

About

Welcome! I hope you love my handmade handbags, purses & pouches as much as I love creating them!

I am a former French teacher turned stay-at-home mom for my 2 beautiful girls. We adopted my 5-year-old from Vietnam in 2007 and my 2-year-old from Ethiopia in 2010.

I have been sewing since as long as I can remember (my mom says I started when I was 3 - I think she\'s exaggerating!). I love the creative process and I never tire of sewing cute purses!

I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with my husband and my little girls.
